The characters in Blood Sisters--as in all my stories-- yearn to be included in the conversation, regardless of age, gender, race, or any other label used to divide the have’s from the have not’s. My job as a writer is to make their yearning palpable, a yearning based on the belief that change is possible and the only way to lose is to give up.
